Wright State fires Billy Donlon following 22-win season

Wright State has terminated its contract with head coach Billy Donlon, according to multiple reports Wednesday.

Donlon, 39, led Wright State to a 22-13 record, second-place finish and conference title game appearance during the 2015-16 season.

Wright StateĀ had won 21 or more games in three of the last four seasons. In six seasons under Donlon, the RaidersĀ reached the Horizon League finals three times. The Raiders appeared in the 2013 CBI and the 2014 CIT but never made the NCAA Tournament or the NIT.

Donlon finishes his career at Wright State with a 109-93 record
