Kansas transfer Conner Frankamp will play his final three years of eligibility at Wichita State, the Wichita Eagle reported Monday.

Frankamp, a Wichita native, averaged 2.5 points in 8.3 minutes per game for the Jayhawks last season. He will be eligible for the second semester of the 2015-16 season and then the entirety of the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

“I think Coach (Gregg) Marshall can improve my game quite a bit,” Frankamp told the Wichita Eagle. “I’ve been very impressed with how Ron (Baker) and Fred (VanVleet) have developed as players. I think they have a good chance to get to the league (NBA).”

Frankamp transferred from Kansas prior to the start of the 2014-15 season. He was recruited over with the additions of Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Devonte Graham and Kelly Oubre.

In high school, Frankamp was a consensus top-40 recruit.
