VIDEO: Missouri State guard Austin Ruder drains 3-pointer to force triple overtime against Bradley

Missouri State’s senior night Wednesday appeared headed for a grim end. The Bears were down 69-66 to the Bradley Braves in the final seconds of a second overtime, and their offense was stalling.

Then sophomore guard Austin Ruder, who was a terrific 3-point shooter as a freshman but entered Wednesday shooting just 30.8 percent from deep, dribbled from the right wing into the corner and drilled a contested triple to force a third overtime.

Missouri State went on to win 80-77 in triple overtime, and Ruder finished 5-of-11 from beyond the arc. All of Ruder’s made 3’s came in the final five minutes of regulation and overtime.
