UIC retires former star Kenny Williams’ jersey

UIC Athletics honored former standout guard Kenny Williams in a pregame ceremony Saturday, retiring his No. 11 jersey.

Williams, who played from 1990 to 1994, scored 2,025 points and is the program’s all-time leader with 237 steals. He is also No. 3 in program history with 487 assists.

During his senior season, Williams earned MCC Player of the Year honors after averaging 21.5 points and 2.5 steals per game.

Williams is the third player to have his number retired, joining Sherrell Ford and Mark Miller.
