Forwards Troy Williams of Indiana and Jake Layman of Maryland are sharing Big Ten Player of the Week honors for Dec. 15-21.

Williams, a 6-foot-7 sophomore, recorded a double-double in Indiana’s win against Butler, tallying 22 points and 11 rebounds. Williams also posted three assists, two blocks and two steals.
This is the second Player of the Week award of his career and the first this season.
Layman, a 6-foot-8 junior, also had a double-double. He scored 21 points and 11 rebounds in Maryland’s win at Oklahoma State.
Minnesota guard Nate Mason took home Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the first Golden Gopher to do so since Joe Coleman in January 2012.
Mason tied his career-highs of 15 points and six steals in Minnesota’s win against Seattle.
