Michigan State forward Branden Dawson suffered a fracture in his left wrist Wednesday in the Spartans’ win against Eastern Michigan, the school announced Thursday. The school said the fracture is stable and non-displaced.

“I feel bad for Branden, as he’s been practicing so well over the last few weeks,” coach Tom Izzo said in a release. “But we also feel a bit fortunate when you look at the video from the game – it certainly could have been worse. BJ has been a quick healer in the past, and we anticipate this being the same.”

The Spartans have ruled Dawson, a 6-foot-6 senior, out for their final two non-conference games. Afterwards, he will undergo further evaluation and could be back in the lineup for Michigan State’s Big Ten opener against Maryland.
