Marcus Ottey continues dunkfest, posterizes poor Roosevelt defender

UIC demolished Roosevelt on Thursday, 91-53, and this dunk by Flames freshman Marcus Ottey pretty much sums up the game.

With UIC already leading by 25 points midway through the second half, Ottey completely decimated freshman Andre Raiford Jr. with a slam off a baseline drive.

Here’s another angle from the baseline. Watch Ottey stare down his victim and then the camera.

Ottey finished with 13 points on 5-of-5 shooting and is now averaging 11.4 points per game, second among Horizon League freshman.

Also, credit Godwin Boahen with the assist leading to the dunk. He had 11 dimes along with 13 points and 12 rebounds for the first triple-double in program history.

Ottey is yet to flash anything as impressive as Wright State forward Steven Davis’ tomahawk earlier this month. But Ottey’s dunks have gotten more and more impressive each game.

So maybe with a little more time he’ll be challenging Davis for the Horizon League’s dunk crown.
