Local recruits visit Loyola Midnight Madness

Loyola (Chicago) had some of the city’s premier basketball recruits on campus Friday for the school’s Midnight Madness, according to a tweet from Joe Henricksen of High School Cube News. Four Simeon players were in attendance: Isaiah Moss, Zach Norvell, Ben Coupet and Josh Thomas. Moss is a senior, and the other three players are juniors.

Moss, a 6-5 small forward, is receiving interest and offers from many high-majors programs. The most notable schools that have extended offers to the three-star recruit are Iowa State, Iowa and Auburn. Locally, DePaul and UIC have also offered Moss a scholarship.

Norvell is a top-100 recruit in the Class of 2016 and one of the top players in the state. The 6-4 guard has been offered by Oklahoma, Memphis and Bradley in addition to Loyola, according to 247 Sports.

Coupet was recently offered by DePaul, and Bradley has also extended a scholarship his way. ESPN and 247 Sports both give Coupet four stars.

The Ramblers have a former Simeon player on their roster in freshman Donte Ingram.
