UIC picked up another late addition for the 2014-15 season with junior college guard Paris Burns verbally committing to the program, Daniel Poneman tweeted Friday afternoon.

Burns scored 9.6 points and dished 3.6 assists per game at Vincennes University last season. He had more than twice as many assists as turnovers and was a respectable 3-point shooter at 34.7%.

Burns¬†becomes the fourth member of UIC’s incoming class. He joins D’Juan Miller, another junior college point guard, and incoming freshmen Tai Odiase and Grant Sims.

Howard Moore still has one open scholarship, and he desperately needs to find a big man. Forwards¬†Jordan Harks and Hayden Humes exhausted their eligibility, and reserve center Will Simonton transferred, leaving rising junior Jake Wiegand as the team’s only returning big guy.
