Joe Crisman named to MVC Scholar-Athlete second team

Loyola senior Joe Crisman has seen his minutes dip this season, but that didn’t stop the 6-foot-4 guard from earning an All-MVC honor.

Crisman was named to the conference’s Scholar-Athlete Second Team with a 3.68 GPA, the league announced Thursday. To be eligible for the team, a player must be considered a starter or important reserve and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20.

On the court, Crisman averaged 2.9 points and 1.3 assists in 17.8 minutes per game.

No. 6 seed Loyola takes on No. 3 seed Indiana State on Friday in the MVC Tournament quarterfinals.
