Drew Crawford Wins Co-Big Ten Player of the Week

The Big Ten announced Monday that Northwestern senior Drew Crawford won Big Ten Player of the Week. Crawford shares the award with Penn State guard D.J. Newbill.

Crawford averaged 23.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the Wildcats’ two wins last week.

He is now averaging 16.8 points and 6.8 boards this season.

This is the first time this season Crawford has won the award. It is the third in his career.

The last Northwestern player to win Big Ten Player of the Week was John Shurna on Feb. 6, 2012.

Crawford and the Wildcats return to action Saturday when they host Nebraska.
