Doyle named to preseason All-MVC second team

Loyola senior Milton Doyle was selected to the preseason second team All-MVC by league coaches, sports information directors and media.

Doyle, a 6’4″ guard, averaged 11.2 points and 3.0 assists last season. As a freshman, he averaged 14.9 points, 3.6 dimes and 1.2 steals to earn MVC Newcomer and Freshman of the Year awards.

Joining Doyle on the second team are Missouri State guard Dequon Miller, Drake guard Reed Timmer, Southern Illinois forward Sean O’Brien and Wichita State forward Shaquille Morris.

Northern Iowa senior Jeremy Morgan led the All-MVC first team as the preseason conference player of the year. He is joined on the first team by Indiana State guard Brenton Scott, Illinois State guard Paris Lee, Wichita State forward Markis McDuffie and Illinois State forward MiKyle McIntosh.

Loyola opens the season Nov. 11 against Alcorn State.
