DePaul trails four schools in recruiting chase for Marcus LoVett

2015 point guard Marcus LoVett tweeted his out his final eight schools in order of interest Saturday, and DePaul came in fifth. LoVett listed St. John’s as his top choice, followed by Memphis, Illinois and UC Irvine.

LoVett, a local prospect out of Morgan Park, has been one of DePaul’s top priorities. He ranks No. 93 in 247 Sports Class of 2015 composite rankings.

New DePaul coach Dave Leitao is still looking for his first commit after three weeks on the job. The Blue Demons have one open scholarship, although that could increase to two.

Small forward Eli Cain verbally committed to DePaul when Oliver Purnell was coach. Cain is yet to sign his letter of intent, although he has not announced any plans to to reopen his recruitment.
