DePaul to participate in 2015 Paradise Jam

The bracket for the 2015 Paradise Jam was revealed Wednesday. DePaul will be matched up against South Carolina in the first round Nov. 20 and then play either Florida State or Hofstra in its second game Nov. 22.

The other side of the bracket features Tulsa, Indiana State, Ohio and Norfolk State. The Blue Demons will play one of those four teams in their final game of the tournament.

DePaul is slated on the tougher side of the bracket, as South Carolina is a rising program under fourth-year coach Frank Martin. Florida State will be a borderline Top 25 team as coach Leonard Hamilton brings in another talented recruiting class, and Hofstra will be on of the favorites in the CAA.

While Tulsa will be one of the better teams in the American next season, Indiana State is the second best team on that side of the bracket as a middle-of-the-pack MVC team.

This will be DePaul’s second appearance in the Paradise Jam. The Blue Demons finished third in the 2009 tournament.
