DePaul adds 3-star Paul Reed to 2017 class

Three-star prospect Paul Reed announced his verbal commitment to DePaul on Sunday via Twitter. The 6’8″ small forward is the third commit in the Blue Demons’ 2017 class, joining point guard Justin Roberts and power forward Jaylen Butz.

Reed reportedly chose DePaul over Clemson, Kansas State, Rutgers and Murray State.

Reed hails from Apopka, Florida, where he attends Wekiva High School. He was only 6’5″ going into the summer but become a more notable prospect after a recent growth spurt.

At the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships in July, he led the 116-team tournament with 13.7 rebounds per game. He also averaged 18 points and 3.7 blocks.
