Time for the weekly Chicago awards. Every week, The Catch and Shoot will name a Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week from the six schools in the Greater Chicago Area: DePaul, Northwestern, UIC, Loyola, Chicago State and Valparaiso.
Here are the awards for the past week.

Player of the Week
UIC guard Marc Brown had a slow start to his senior year as he battled a foot injury, but now he’s getting healthy and the results are showing. In two games last week, Brown averaged 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals. He also made three 3-pointers in each game.
Honorable mentions: Alec Peters, Valparaiso; Clarke Rosenberg, Chicago State
Freshman of the Week
Chicago State guard Anthony Glover has been the Cougars’ second-best scorer as a freshman, and that continued last week. Glover averaged 12.5 points on 50% shooting last week. He now has six outings where he’s scored in double figures.
Honorable mentions: Tai Odiase, UIC; Bryant McIntosh, Northwestern; Tevonn Walker, Valparaiso
