We’ve seen this before.
With DePaul down two in the closing seconds of Tuesday’s game against Providence, senior guard Billy Garrett Jr. sliced his way into the lane and made a game-tying layup with 4.7 seconds to go. Garrett also got fouled and made free throw to put DePaul ahead 64-63.
Providence went the length of the floor in the final 4.7 seconds but Kyron Cartwright missed a point-blank layup for the win.
Here’s a look at that final sequence.

Garrett made a similar play in last year’s win at Marquette.
8 seconds to go. Down 2. No problem for @BGarrett_5
The drive, the bucket AND THE FOUL for @DePaulHoops. #BIGEAST https://t.co/vtiBg3yFdO

He also made a game-winning jumper earlier this season against Missouri State.
