7-foot freshman Adonis De La Rosa is transferring from St. John’s, ZagsBlog reported Tuesday. De La Rosa was an academic non-qualifier, which kept him from playing last season.
De La Rosa was a three-star recruit coming out of high school, where he averaged a double-double to help Christ The King (NY) to a New York Class AA Federation title.
St. John’s also received good news on the transfer wire Tuesday, as former Missouri State guard Ron Mvouika committed to the Red Storm. Mvouika has one year of eligibility and can play immediately.
