How much would you pay to see the worst team in the Big East face the worst team in the Big Ten with conference pride on the line? That is what’s on tap for Thursday at Allstate Arena when DePaul hosts Rutgers, and tickets are going for as cheap as $4 on StubHub as of early Thursday morning.

The Gavitt Games have produced some of the better games this young season has produced, namely Villanova staving off Purdue on the road, Maryland knocking off rival Georgetown with a block at the buzzer, and Northwestern getting Hinkle’d by Butler on a last-second game winner.

The loser of the DePaul-Rutgers matchup may become the frontrunner for worst high-major team of the 2016-17 season — although Boston College, Washington State and Missouri also deserve a fair mention in this conversation — and you can see it in person for just a few bucks.

Just for some perspective, here are six things that are more expensive than tickets for this game between two high-major teams.

1. Round-trip CTA fare to DePaul-Rutgers ($5.00)

2. An ice tray ($5.99)

3. 1,500 live ladybugs ($6.25)

4. Texas Legends vs. Windy City Bulls D-League tickets ($9.00)

5. A Venus flytrap to eat the ladybugs ($9.99)

6. Admission to Chicago’s Leather Museum ($10)

DePaul and Rutgers tip off at 7:30 p.m. CT on Fox Sports 1.
