2013 NCAA Tournament Bracket Projections, March 16 Edition

In a little more than 29 hours, the 2013 NCAA Tournament field will be unveiled. As we get ready for a bunch of championship and semifinal games on Saturday, here are my bracket projections as of Saturday, March 16.

A conference in parentheses next to a team indicates that team is projected to win its conference’s automatic bid.

Here are the automatic bids that have already been determined: Florida Gulf Coast (Atlantic Sun), Belmont (Ohio Valley), Harvard (Ivy), Liberty (Big South), Creighton (Missouri Valley), James Madison (CAA), Iona (MAAC), Davidson (SoCon), Western Kentucky (Sun Belt), Gonzaga (WCC), LIU-Brooklyn (NEC), Valparaiso (Horizon), South Dakota State (Summit), and Bucknell (Patriot).

With the 68-team format, there are four play-in games. There will be two play-in games for the bottom four at-large teams, and two play-in games for conference tournament winners who earned automatic bids.

In this bracket, the winner of the Midwest Region plays the winner of the South Region, and the winner of the West Region plays the winner of the East Region.

Continue checking the NCAA Tournament Bracketology page for updated projections as the day goes on and more automatic bids are determined.
