New UIC coach Steve McClain has been plenty busy on the recruiting trail. The former Indiana assistant quickly made 2015 big man Usman Harumna a priority, but he also offered scholarships to three Class of 2017 guards in the last few days.
2017 point guard Evan Gilyard, a local product from Simeon Career Academy, received an offer from the Flames, per Scott Burgess. Mark Miller of the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook later reported that UIC had offered shooting guards Jordan Poole and Terrence Lewis, both from Milwaukee.
