UIC coach Steve McClain has been aggressive on the recruiting trail, but he is yet to nail a commitment for the Class of 2015, which still has a few open spots.
(The Flames signed Texas duo Hassan Thomas and Michael Kolawole to letters of intent last week, but both players committed verbally to UIC when Howard Moore was still coach.)
Now McClain is pursuing 2015 guard Antoine Pittman, who de-committed from Green Bay following a coaching change. Pittman helped Rockford Auburn High School to a 29-2 record last season.
Scott Phillips of NBC Sports reported that Pittman, along with 2016 guards Skylar Nash and Alonzo Chatman, have visited UIC recently. Phillips tweeted the Flames have also offered 2017 guard Damonte Williams, a Peoria native who also holds an offer from Bradley.
