1. Arizona (9-0). Last week: 3
Arizona held off UNLV on Saturday to capture the No. 1 ranking. The Wildcats have a sneakily good opponent Wednesday in New Mexico State, and then they play at Michigan on Saturday.
2. Ohio State (8-0). Last week: 4
Ohio State blew out Maryland and Central Connecticut State last week to improve to 8-0. The Buckeyes have won every game by at least 10 points.
3. Syracuse (9-0). Last week: 7
Syracuse overwhelmed Indiana on Tuesday and then had no trouble with Binghamton on Saturday. The Orange travels to Madison Square Garden this week for a date with St. John’s.
4. Wisconsin (10-0). Last week: 9
Wisconsin had another fantastic week, defeating Virginia and Marquette. The Badgers face a pair of tough mid-majors, Milwaukee and Eastern Kentucky, on Wednesday and Saturday.
5. Michigan State (7-1). Last week: 1
Michigan State’s reign as No. 1 ended with a 14-point loss at home to North Carolina. The Spartans’ only game this week is at Oakland.
6. Oklahoma State (8-1). Last week: 5
Oklahoma State rebounded from its Old Spice Classic loss to Memphis with an easy win against South Carolina. The Cowboys host Louisiana Tech, one of the Conference USA favorites, this week.
7. Kentucky (7-2). Last week: 2
Kentucky’s winning streak ended with a loss at Baylor in its first true road game. The Wildcats have two more tough matchups this week with Boise State and North Carolina.
8. Louisville (8-1). Last week: 8
Louisville dominated UMKC and Louisiana-Lafayette to extend its winning streak to three games.
9. Kansas (6-2). Last week: 6
Kansas fought back against Colorado in the second half on Saturday, but Askia Booker’s buzzer-beater three-pointer sent the Jayhawks home with their second loss in their last three games. The Jayhawks face Florida and New Mexico this week.
10. Duke (7-2). Last week: 10
Duke knocked off Michigan in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge for its first win against Top 25 competition. The Blue Devils are off this week, and they will host Gardner-Webb next Monday.
11. Wichita State (9-0). Last week: 12
Wichita State remained unbeaten with a win against Oral Roberts on Saturday. The Shockers can get their second win against a power-six conference team against Tennessee this week.
12. Connecticut (9-0). Last week: 14
Connecticut beat Florida at the buzzer to start the week and then ended it with a blowout victory against Maine.
13. Iowa State (7-0). Last week: 15
Iowa State was tested away from home by Northern Iowa, but the Cyclones survived in overtime to remain unbeaten. Next up for the Cyclones is Iowa.
14. Baylor (8-1). Last week: 17
Baylor picked up another good win Friday night, beating Kentucky by five points.
15. Florida (6-2). Last week: 13
In its only game of the week, Florida lost at Connecticut on a buzzer beater. The tough stretch continues for the Gators with games against Kansas and Memphis coming up.
16. Massachusetts (8-0). Last week: 16
Massachusetts remained unbeaten with a 105-96 win against Brigham Young on Saturday. Point guard Chaz Williams dominated for 32 points and 15 assists.
17. Oregon (8-0). Last week: 19
Oregon survived at Ole Miss in overtime, 115-105, Sunday. The Ducks return home to face Illinois this weekend.
18. Villanova (9-0). Last week: 20
Villanova’s perfect start continued with wins against Penn and St. Joseph’s. The Wildcats can move to 3-0 against the Big 5 with a win against La Salle on Sunday.
19. Colorado (9-1). Last week: Unranked
Colorado is back in the Top 25 for the first time since the preseason rankings. After beating Kansas on Saturday, the Buffaloes have now won nine games in a row.
20. UCLA (8-1). Last week: 11
UCLA’s undefeated season ended with a 80-71 loss at Missouri on Saturday afternoon. The Bruins should be able to pick up another win against Prairie View A&M on Saturday.
21. Iowa (9-1). Last week: Unranked
Iowa bounced back from its overtime loss to Villanova with wins against Notre Dame and Drake. The Buckeyes will host Fairleigh Dickinson on Monday and then play at Iowa State in a must-watch game for all college basketball fans on Friday.
22. Memphis (6-1). Last week: 22
Memphis easily disposed of Northwestern State on Saturday for its fifth straight win. The Tigers will host Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday.
23. Michigan (6-3). Last week: 18
Michigan bounced back from a loss at Duke with an easy win against Houston Baptist. The Wolverines host top-ranked Arizona on Saturday.
24. Gonzaga (8-1). Last week: 23
Gonzaga defeated New Mexico State over the weekend for its fourth straight win. The Zags will face West Virginia and South Alabama this week.
25. Boise State (8-0). Last week: 24
Boise State will take its perfect record to Kentucky on Tuesday night.
