1. Arizona (11-0). Last week: 1
Arizona retained the No. 1 ranking with a gutsy win at Michigan on Saturday. The Wildcats should have no problem moving to 12-0 Thursday against Southern.
2. Ohio State (10-0). Last week: 2
Ohio State knocked off a pair of mid-majors, Bryant and North Dakota State, last week. The Buckeyes will return home for Delaware on Wednesday and then play Notre Dame on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
3. Syracuse (10-0). Last week: 3
Syracuse’s perfect start continued with a win against St. John’s at Madison Square Garden. The Orange’s only game this week is at home against High Point.
4. Wisconsin (12-0). Last week: 4
Wisconsin’s perfect start continued with a rout of Eastern Kentucky, one of the favorites in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Badgers will take a winter vacation and return to action against Prairie View on Dec. 28.
5. Michigan State (8-1). Last week: 5
With Gary Harris injured, Michigan State nearly lost to Oakland over the weekend, but the Spartans win by four. They will face North Florida and Texas this week.
6. Oklahoma State (9-1). Last week: 6
Oklahoma State warded off a tough Louisiana Tech team at the All-College Classic on Saturday. After hosting Delaware State on Tuesday, the Cowboys have a tough matchup with Colorado.
7. Louisville (9-1). Last week: 8
In its only game of the week, Louisville defeated Western Kentucky, 79-63. The Cardinals will face Missouri State and Florida International this week.
8. Wichita State (10-0). Last week: 11
Wichita State knocked off Tennessee on Saturday to improve to 10-0. The Shockers get another SEC opponent in Alabama on Tuesday.
9. Connecticut (9-0). Last week: 12
After 12 days off, Connecticut is back on the court against Stanford on Wednesday.
10. Iowa State (8-0). Last week: 13
Iowa State picked up another marquee win Friday, defeating in-state rival Iowa by three points. The Cyclones will play in the Diamond Head Classic, opening with George Mason on Sunday.
11. Duke (7-2). Last week: 10
Duke returns to action this week with games against Gardner-Webb and UCLA.
12. Baylor (8-1). Last week: 14
After a long break, Baylor returns home for games against Northwestern State and Southern this week.
13. Florida (7-2). Last week: 15
Florida defeated Kansas on Tuesday for its first Top-25 win of the season. The Gators have another tough matchup next week against Memphis at the Jimmy V Classic in New York City.
14. Massachusetts (9-0). Last week: 16
Massachusetts remained unbeaten with a win over Northern Illinois, but it will be challenged at Ohio on Wednesday night.
15. Oregon (9-0). Last week: 17
Oregon defeated Illinois on Saturday for arguably its best win of the season. The Ducks remain at home this week for UC Irvine and Brigham Young.
16. Villanova (10-0). Last week: 18
Villanova blew out La Salle on Sunday to improve to 3-0 against Big 5 opponents. The Wildcats’ only game this week will be at home against Rider.
17. Colorado (10-1). Last week: 19
Colorado followed up its thrilling win against Kansas with a home victory against Elon. The Buffaloes can get their second Top-25 win of the season against Oklahoma State on Saturday.
18. Kansas (7-3). Last week: 9
Kansas has played a brutal schedule, and its record reflects that. Last week, the Jayhawks lost to Florida and beat New Mexico. This week, they will host Georgetown.
19. Kentucky (8-3). Last week: 7
Kentucky fell to 0-3 against nationally ranked opponents with a loss at North Carolina on Saturday. The Wildcats have another tough opponent in Belmont this week.
20. UCLA (9-1). Last week: 20
UCLA will face its first Top 25 opponent of the season in Duke on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.
21. Memphis (7-1). Last week: 22
Memphis survived a scare from Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday to improve to 7-1. The Tigers will play in New York City this week against Florida as part of the Jimmy V Classic.
22. Iowa (10-2). Last week: 21
Iowa’s three-game winning streak ended with a close loss at Iowa State. The Hawkeyes will return to action Sunday against Arkansas Pine Bluff.
23. Gonzaga (10-1). Last week: 24
Gonzaga defeated West Virginia and South Alabama to extend its winning streak to six games. Next up for the Zags is Kansas State on Saturday.
24. North Carolina (7-2). Last week: Unranked
North Carolina once again played to its level of competition, defeating Kentucky on Saturday. The Tar Heels now have three wins against Top 25 teams to go along with two losses to unranked team.s
25. Missouri (10-0). Last week: Unranked
Missouri was nearly upset by Western Michigan on Sunday, but the Tigers survived by six points. They will face Illinois on Saturday.
