Louisville survived upset bids from Indiana and UNC Wilmington last week. The Cardinals play their first true road game of the year Saturday at Western Kentucky.

Virginia returns from a 12-day break Thursday against Cleveland State. The Cavaliers also host Harvard this weekend.

After three straight games against Pac-12 opponents, Gonzaga has an easier week ahead with games against Texas Southern and Cal Poly.

Texas held Texas State to 27 points in an easy win Saturday. The Longhorns continue their home stand Tuesday against Lipscomb.
10. Wichita State (7-1). Last week: 10
Wichita State erased a double-digit deficit at Detroit to win its third straight game. The Shockers host Alabama this week.
11. Kansas (8-1). Last week: 11
Kansas has won seven games in a row since losing to Kentucky at the Champions Classic. The Jayhawks got two quality wins last week against Georgetown and Utah.

Ohio State has beaten up on its cupcakes so far. The Buckeyes have another against North Carolina A&T, but then they will be tested against Saturday against UNC.

Iowa State blew away Iowa in the Cyclones’ first true road game. The Cyclones face Drake on a neutral site this week.

Oklahoma has won two straight games since falling to Wisconsin in the Battle 4 Atlantis finals. The Sooners host Oral Roberts and then face Washington in Las Vegas this week.
15. Washington (8-0). Last week: 18
Washington held off Eastern Washington to remain undefeated this season. After hosting Grambling, the Huskies face Oklahoma in Las Vegas for their toughest non-conference game of the year.

Utah’s six-game winning streak ended Saturday with a three-point loss at Kansas.
17. San Diego State (7-2). Last week: 19
San Diego State held off Long Beach State 60-59 in its only game of the week. The Aztecs travel to Cincinnati Wednesday for what should be a defensive battle.

St. John’s had no trouble Sunday against Fordham, despite starting center Chris Obekpa getting ejected in the first half. The Johnnies host WCC contender Saint Mary’s this week.

Colorado State knocked off Colorado on the road by two points to remain unbeaten. The Rams play another in-state road game Friday at Denver.
20. Miami Fla. (9-1). Last week: 22
Miami bounced back from a loss to Green Bay with an easy win against Savannah State. The Hurricanes host Eastern Kentucky this week.
21. Maryland (10-1). Last week: 23
Maryland survived USC Upstate’s upset bid to win its third game in a row. The Terrapins face Oklahoma State Sunday in their first true road game of the year.
22. Notre Dame (10-1). Last week: Unranked
Notre Dame blew out Florida State over the weekend to crack this week’s rankings. The Fighting Irish meet Purdue this week at the Crossroads Classic.
23. Michigan State (7-3). Last week: Unranked
Michigan State returns to the Top 25 after winning its last two games against mediocre opponents. The Spartans host Eastern Michigan, which just upset Michigan last week, on Wednesday.
24. Butler (8-2). Last week: 14
Butler’s four-game winning streak ended Sunday with a loss at Tennessee. The Bulldogs face another challenge Saturday against Indiana at the Crossroads Classic.
25. Northern Iowa (9-1). Last week: 25
Northern Iowa’s perfect start ended with a double-overtime loss at VCU. The Panthers will be challenged again Saturday against Iowa.
