The early signing period began Wednesday, and here is your comprehensive roundup of the progress MVC schools have made on the recruiting trail:
—Bradley continued to score big on the recruiting trail, signing three-star center Koch Bar. Bar is 6-foot-10 and should make an immediate impact next season for a Braves team that has limited size.
—Illinois State signed a pair in forward Andre Washington and guard Madison Williams. Washington can play inside, and he was his high school’s leader in 3-point percentage last season.
—Indiana State got deeper in the backcourt with 5-foot-11 Jordan Barnes signing his NLI. Barnes averaged six assists and also shot 48 percent from beyond the arc last season.
—Loyola got two more backcourt additions in three-star guard Cameron Satterwhite and Croatian sensation Bruno Skokna. Satterwhite is a former Colorado commit, and Skokna was one of the top scorers at the U18 European Championships.
—Northern Iowa likes to recruit families. The Panthers inked 6-foot-7 forward Tanner Lohaus, the brother of current UNI guard Wyatt Lohaus. They also add 5-foot-11 guard Juwan McCloud, who averaged 16.7 points per game as a junior.
—Southern Illinois received NLIs from a pair of guards in 6-foot-5 Brendan Gooch and 6-foot-1 Aaron Cook. The Salukis are deep at guard this season and next, but this duo could become the program’s foundation when they are sophomores.
—Drake, Evansville, Missouri State and Wichita State have not yet received any official commitments for the class of 2016.
