Wichita State came back to win Saturday at Detroit after trailing by double digits in the second half. The Shockers look for their fourth straight win Tuesday against Alabama.
3. Northern Iowa (9-1). Last week: 3
Northern Iowa’s undefeated season came to a close Saturday with a double-overtime loss at VCU. The Panthers have another tough match Saturday, when they face Iowa on a neutral site.
4. Harvard (7-1). Last week: 4
After a 13-day break, Harvard returns to action Sunday at Virginia.
5. Georgia State (6-2). Last week: 6
After a 1-2 start, Georgia State has won five straight games. The Panthers face a pair of Conference USA opponents, Old Dominion and Southern Miss, this week.
6. Saint Mary’s (6-1). Last week: 8
In its first road game of the year, Saint Mary’s snapped Creighton’s 24-game home winning streak.
7. BYU (8-3). Last week: 5
After losing a close game to Utah, BYU traveled to Weber State for a 16-point victory. The Cougars began a four-game home stand Saturday against Stanford.
8. Old Dominion (7-1). Last week: 7
Old Dominion had no problem knocking off North Carolina A&T to extend its winning streak to four games. The Monarchs host Georgia State this week in a marquee mid-major matchup.

9. Wofford (8-2). Last week: 9
Wofford traveled to NC State Sunday and knocked off the ACC program by a point. The Terriers get another chance for a big victory next Monday at West Virginia.
10. Green Bay (7-2). Last week: 11
Green Bay blew by Drake in its first home game against a Division I opponent. The Phoenix are at home again this week against Morehead State.
11. Yale (8-3). Last week: 12
After upsetting Connecticut, Yale fell on its face at Florida with an 85-47 loss. The Bulldogs end a four-game road swing Thursday at Vermont.
12. Stephen F. Austin (7-3). Last week: 15
Stephen F. Austin knocked off North Texas for its sixth straight win. The Lumberjacks look for No. 7 in a row Wednesday against Texas State.
13. Louisiana Tech (7-3). Last week: 10
Louisiana Tech nearly knocked off Syracuse but lost on a last-second basket. The Bulldogs look to end their two-game slide Thursday against Nicholls State.
14. Evansville (7-2). Last week: 16
Evansville earned a nice win at Belmont but followed that with a home loss to Murray State. The Aces host Ohio and Alabama State this week.
15. Florida Gulf Coast (8-2). Last week: 13
Florida Gulf Coast swallowed a tough loss Sunday against Florida International. The defeat ended a three-game winning streak.
16. Belmont (7-3). Last week: 14
Following a seven-game winning streak, Belmont has lost a pair of home games. Now the Bruins hit the road for the first time this month to play VCU.
17. UTEP (5-3). Last week: 17
UTEP ended a three-game slide with a win against Incarnate Word. The Miners play a pair of home games this week against Arizona and Southeastern Louisiana.
18. Iona (6-3, 1-1 MAAC). Last week: 19
Iona erased a 15-point deficit Saturday to defeat Indiana State. The Gaels travel to George Mason this week.
19. Northeastern (6-2). Last week: 20
Northeastern had last week off. The Huskies begin a five-game road trip Wednesday.
20. Valparaiso (10-2). Last week: 23
Valparaiso edged Ball State over the weekend for its 10 win. Next up for the Crusaders is a Saturday game at IPFW.
21. Eastern Michigan (8-1). Last week: Unranked
Eastern Michigan made noise last week with a win at Michigan. The Eagles’ lone loss this season is by single digits at Dayton.
22. Eastern Washington (8-2). Last week: 24
Eastern Washington nearly defeated a Power-5 team for the second time this season. The Huskies held a double-digit lead on Washington at halftime but lost by four points.
23. Bowling Green (6-2). Last week: Unranked
Bowling Green enters this week’s Top 25 after knocking off Cleveland State. The Falcons’ only losses are on the road to Dayton and Western Kentucky.
24. Kent State (6-2). Last week: Unranked
Kent State defeated Arkansas-Little Rock Sunday to improve to 3-0 on the road. The Golden Flashes play their first home game of the month Friday.
25. Portland (7-2). Last week: Unranked
Portland is 2-1 in December after beating Sacramento State over the weekend. The Pilots face UNLV this week.
