Illinois State takes its four-game winning streak to Oakland tonight, and then it returns home to face Tennessee State and DePaul later in the week.
4. Northwestern (5-5), 51 points. Last week: 4
After defeating Western Michigan last Saturday, Northwestern had the week off. The Wildcats return to action tonight against Mississippi Valley State, and they will play Brown on Sunday.
5. Loyola (5-5), 45 points. Last week: 6
Loyola defeated Campbell on Friday to start its first winning streak of the season. The Ramblers play their final non-conference home game against Northern Illinois on Wednesday.
6. Bradley (5-5), 38 points. Last week: 5
Bradley lost to IPFW on Tuesday for its fifth loss in its last six games. The Braves will look to end the slide against Portland and Pacific this weekend.
7. UIC (4-6), 33 points. Last week: 8
UIC ended a two-game slide with a 75-69 win at Southeast Missouri on Saturday. The Flames will face Purdue-Calumet and UC Riverside this week.
8. Western Illinois (4-4), 28 points. Last week: 7
With a win tonight at Alabama State, Western Illinois can move above .500 for the first time this season. The Leathernecks will also face Utah State, Troy, and UC Santa Barbara this week.
9. Eastern Illinois (3-6), 24 points. Last week: 11
Eastern Illinois looks to end its four-game losing streak at Wright State on Thursday night.
10. Chicago State (4-6), 21 points. Last week: T-9
Chicago State forced overtime at DePaul on Sunday but fell in the extra period by seven points. The Cougars will host SIU-Edwardsville today before starting a three-game road trip at Cincinnati next week.
11. Southern Illinois (2-7), 18 points. Last week: T-9
Southern Illinois, which has lost three straight games, faces Murray State and Ball State this week.
12. Northern Illinois (3-5), 15 points. Last week: 12
Northern Illinois put up a good fight at No. 22 Massachusetts last week, but it could not keep up with the Minutemen in the second half. Next up for the Huskies is Loyola on Wednesday.
13. SIU-Edwardsville (2-8), 5 points. Last week: 13
SIU-Edwardsville has lost six of its last seven games. The Cougars look to end the streak tonight at Chicago State.
