Former Missouri State star Marcus Marshall lands at Nevada

Former Missouri State standoutĀ Marcus Marshall is transferring to Nevada, per CBS Sports. The 6-foot-3 guard will have one season of eligibility in 2016-17.

Marshall averaged 19.5 points and shot 45.6 percent on 3-pointers in 14 games last season before leaving Missouri State. He was also the 2013 Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year.

Northwestern had reportedly shown interest in Marshall.

He is the second former Bears player to find a new home Tuesday, asĀ Ron Mvouika committed to St. John’s earlier.
