UIC forward Dikembe Dixson is continuing his tear through the Horizon League, earning his sixth conference freshman of the week award Monday. Dixson averaged 28 points and 8.5 rebounds in two games last week.

The Freeport, Illinois, native is the first UIC player to earn six weekly awards, passing former Flames players Mark Miller and Cedrick Banks.

Dixson is also the second player in Horizon League history to win Freshman of the Week six or more times. Oakland junior Kay Felder, a potential All-American this season, earned seven such honors during the 2013-14 season.
